Hi, my name is Kendra. I live in Austin, Texas, with my wonderful, crazy cat Sammy. I love to write about many things on this blog, especially my photography and craft projects, my adventures around Austin, time with my family, and of course, Sammy.
One of the most exciting projects I've worked on over the past few years is Project 365. I completed my first project back in 2010-2011, and I'm currently in the middle of my second one this year. It's amazing to see how my photography skills have slowly but surely improved over both projects. While I end up using my new iPhone 5 for most of my everyday shots, I love shooting with my Canon Rebel T2i when I have the time. (This is the lens I shoot with most of the time.)
While I'm a Texas girl at heart, I spent four years in Boston attending graduate school and working at my first professional job. I loved my time in Massachusetts, even if the winters and I didn't always agree. Some of my favorite memories of living in Boston include spending time with my grad school friends, watching the Marathon every spring, visiting the small towns around the city on the weekends, sporting "Big Blue" each winter, and working at one of the coolest places ever. My roots are firmly planted in Texas, but I definitely have some strong Massachusetts branches now. (You can read about my life in New England here.)
